HOW LONG ARE THE DOWNLOAD LINKS GOOD
FOR?
When you purchase your digital goods, you have 7 days to download them. You are given 6 attempts to download each link. After this time the links become inactive. It is very important that you download your links within this window time frame. Please make sure you back up your digital files. After 30 days are over, we are no longer able to reset links. So that is why it is extremely important to back up your files either on another hard drive or a cd/dvd. Thank you. :)
A very good External Hard Drive can come in handy for this. I personally have had one of my hard drives fail on me and therefore I LOVE Western Digital External Hard Drives. They have never failed me.

WHICH SOFTWARE DO I USE?
First off, every product at SMJ Designs is purely digital. That means when you purchase you will be directed to download links to download the files to your computer. Please note-Nothing will ever be mailed or shipped to you.
This is such a great question. I personally use Adobe Photoshop I started with this program (as hard as it is) and have enjoyed learning tons of new things from it. With regards to digiscrapping and starting off new, I HIGHLY recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements. It is a much less expensive version of Photoshop. Before you purchase our digital products are are wondering if you will enjoy digiscrapping, please download a trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements. HOW DO I DIGI SCRAP?
The easiest way to digiscrap is to just practice using the software you intend on using to digiscrap. Personally I learned a TON just by editing photos in Photoshop. When you scrapbook digitally, you work in layers. You do this to add shadows to your elements so that your page will look more realistic, as in 3d. We have some wonderful video tutorials you can watch by an amazing girl, Kayla Lamoreaux. You can find these video tutorials right here.
WHAT IS HYBRID?
Hybrid is when you digiscrap, print your finished product and make it into something even MORE AMAZING! Our calendars as you can see are WONDERFUL examples of hybrid projects! We also offer some AMAZING party packs, albums, quickpages, cd calendars, name badge albums and ton more in our shoppe. Please see the calendar page to view more information regarding those. USING THE SMJ DESIGNS
SHOPPE-
Basically, all you need to do is register with your current and working email address and then are ready to go. I totally recommend trying out some freebies first in the goodies section. Feel free to play and see if your computer can handle these huge files.
HANDLING GIFT CERTIFICATES-
When you receive a gift certificate, you will be emailed a code and link to redeem that gift certificate. Click on the link. It should automatically redeem your gift certificate for you. Once you have redeemed it you do not need to reenter the code again. All you do next is add your items to your cart and go to checkout.
In the "Gift Certificate" window box, enter the amount of the gift certificate to use. Again no need to reenter the code since it has already been redeemed. Next click "continue checkout" to proceed to the end. Please see below for an example.

HAVING DOWNLOAD ISSUES-
Oh my goodness! I hate hearing of anyone having download issues. Seriously it stinks. Once you purchase your digital goods, you will be sent to download them immediately. Unless you have paid via Paypal ECHECK. This payment will take 3-5 business days to clear which means your links will not be available for download until it clears. You can easily turn this option off in your paypal account. Once an echeck is pending, there is no way anyone here can cancel it for you. You will have to contact paypal for that.
Once your purchase is final, you will be sent an email confirmation. If you do not get an email, then PLEASE check your spam folder. Another way to find your links is just by looking in your history page of your account at the shoppe.
The best way to handle your downloads is by downloading each link one at a time. Which means you click one link, let it fully download to your computer and then begin to click the next link and so on. Clicking all the links at one time can sometimes cause you to get an error. The best internet browsers to use to download are Safari and Firefox. For some reason, Internet Explorer can cause many issues with downloading. I honestly have no idea why (LOL) but that has been my experience with clients having issues using Internet Explorer. Once they switched to Firefox or Safari, these issues were immediately resolved.

WHERE DO I GET MY STUFF
PRINTED?
In regards to printing the calendars and hybrid project, there are so many great options. I have used my own HP Printer to print some of these out and they have all turned out fabulous. I definitely recommend using thick matte photo paper (33+ lb weight) because they make the projects super sturdy! Other great places to print these include Persnickety Prints, Shutterfly and WHCC. I would definitely recommend trying out these places with a few pages first and then decide which quality you think is the best. I have had my most recent calendars printed on photo paper at Persnickety Prints and they have turned out perfectly! They come bound and even come with a hanger attached.
